Program - April 9, 2003
Brad’s slide show will take us on an adventure, with five clients, over the summit of Mt. Aconcagua. Located on the Chilean-Argentinean border, Aconcagua is the second highest mountain on the list of Seven Continental Summits. At 22,840 ft. (6,962m) the mountain can be an unpredictable, yet realizable goal for many mountaineers. As one of the logistically easier continental summits, Brad will provide specific information for those wishing to give it a try. Bring a pen, paper and questions!
Brad enjoys a challenge! Since leading his first 5.8 in high-top basketball shoes seventeen years ago, he has developed a “deal with it” mantra to help him climb 5.11+ trad routes, multi-pitch grade V waterfall ice, numerous aid routes in Zion and Yosemite, and summit Kilimanjaro, Denali, Aconcagua, and every route on the Grand Teton. Realizing that he performed well climbing for 24+ hours on alpine climbs, Brad has started doing 24 hour mountain bike races and adventure races. (Placing 2nd in the 2002 Gorge Games Adventure race).
